In this role you will:
Identify and perform studies on New Artificial Lift technologies and conduct research & development aiming at improving ESP (Electrical Submersible Pump) optimization of well design, cost, and performance. Advanced well completion, inflow control devices as well as water control using mechanical methods. Flow metering of multiphase flows for surface and downhole applications
Candidate will be required to explore, identify and assess any new technology related to downhole ESP which could reduce well costs, improve reservoir production and help aid safety matters.
In addition, candidate will conduct performance review on running procedures and practices including deployment methods, reliability, maintenance, etc. and make appropriate recommendations to team leader
Moreover, the candidate will support on-going projects including the co-ordination of field trials for new equipment
You, the candidate:
You the Candidate should have a degree in Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering, preferably advanced degree
You are preferably a Chartered Engineer (Institution of Mechanical Engineers, IMECHE)
You have wide experience and knowledge of petroleum engineering and all research related to artificial lift
You have at least 9 years of combined experience in the oil industry, and related field of work is a must
R&D experience is preferred, however a broad experience and knowledge of petroleum engineering including artificial lift selection, design and optimization, wellbore hydraulics, well completion and multiphase pumping is essential
You have extensive field experience in ESP system design, field installation and diagnostic is highly desirable
Your knowledge should be strong in technology limitations with vendor systems is required using common nodal analysis and artificial lift design computer tools
You are to have networking, planning, organizing and presentation skills
Collaboration & Teamwork by providing appropriate support within own area of expertise, at own initiative
Networking and Relationship Management with key organizational influencers and customers in order to build credibility and trust
Demonstrate Knowledge of the Business and Industry
Creativity & Innovation by continuously generating new ideas, methods, products and solutions
