Roles at AOC
Helping with education helps us
There are many different roles at AOC. Each has its own challenges, providing employees with the stimulation they need to be motivated and ambitious. We have chosen three different roles to talk about here.

Buyer, part of the Purchasing, Logistics and Contracting Environment
Our buyers are responsible for ensuring Saudi Aramco partners with suppliers of the best quality products at the best value for money. They manage our supplier base and oversee purchasing procedures on everything from engineering parts to website design. They have to be skilled negotiators and possess a keen eye for detail, as they monitor vendor performance, determine contract terms and project manage purchases of products and services, often in significant volume.
Inspection Engineer (Quality Management Division)
Inspection engineers have to be completely familiar with the technical environment products are being purchased for in absolute detail. They are responsible for assessment of the pipes, valves, pumps, pressure equipment and associated services to ensure that they comply with Saudi Aramco’s rigorous engineering and materials standards. Their role includes the qualification of new manufacturers, physical inspection of purchased materials and monitoring of inspection activities by third party contractors.
Recruiter (Industrial Relations Division, Staffing Services)
Our recruiters work as part of a specialized team to help our business managers identify and select talented people to work for the business. Recruiters play a major role in maintaining the profile of Saudi Aramco as an employer of choice, liaising with professional bodies, universities, engineering companies and other key corporate organizations – that can provide Saudi Aramco with top talent.
