SAUDI ARAMCO SPONSORS THE 2011 CREST AWARDS AT THE BIG BANG FAIR

Saudi Aramco is a proud supporter of the Big Bang Fair through the sponsorship of the 2011 CREST Awards, celebrating young peoples' achievements in science and engineering from March 10-12. CREST is Britain’s largest national awards scheme for project work in the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). The Big Bang kicks off National Science and Engineering week and will host the finals of the National Science and Engineering competition, where the winner of the Saudi Aramco Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar CREST prize will be announced. Saudi Aramco will fly the winning student to Stockholm to attend the prestigious Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar, featuring talks from Nobel Peace Prize winners and leaders in the field of science.

This year’s Big Bang will go off at ExCel London with a fantastic variety of gadgets, experiments, workshops and shows! This free event holds dedicated days for schools and colleges, with general public access on March 12. The Big Bang Fair brings science and engineering to life for young people, with experiments and activities showing how they are a part of our everyday lives. Families are encouraged to come along and there is plenty on offer to hold the interest of children of all ages. Saudi Aramco’s sponsorship of the 2011 CREST Awards is part of the Company’s commitment to encouraging young people around the world to get involved in science and technology.
