A fresh environment for education at Baytree

The Baytree Centre in Brixton offers support to women and girls from over 80 different nationalities, the vast majority of whom are unemployed when they come to the center. AOC volunteers spent a day painting the center, refreshing the environment the women and girls learn in.

The Bay Tree Centre provides support to over 1,000 disadvantaged women and girls annually, helping each of them achieve their educational goals and improve their English language speaking and writing capabilities. The center’s focus on learning, with such a large base of nationalities, make them an organization with a commitment to education very closely aligned with those of AOC and that of our parent company, Saudi Aramco.

We provided our team of 15 AOC volunteers with overalls, rollers and paint, to refresh the space where women and children improve their educational and life chances, with the aim of making a small but very positive contribution to their experience of learning.

Knowing how hard charities work to assist in the lives of those less fortunate, painting a room has never been so fulfilling. Robyn Sinclair, AOC Staffing Services

We were really impressed with how professional and organized the project was. There was a great atmosphere and the team were very friendly. We are extremely grateful for Aramco’s contribution. Talina Padilla, Head of the Volunteer Service at Baytree
