Headquarters, The Netherlands

Since August 2009 Aramco Overseas Company BV (AOC) corporate headquarters have been located in The Hague, the diplomatic capital of The Netherlands. This location, situated centrally in Europe with access to business and logistics centers throughout the region, allows us to effectively fulfill our role as representatives in Europe and Asia of the company that manages proven conventional reserves of 260.1 billion barrels of crude oil. From this headquarters we direct our international operations through three offices in Europe and five offices across the Asia Pacific regions. The Hague office boasts a state-of-the-art data center, which is the communications hub for our global operations.

AOC centralizes its administrative functions in The Hague, where the Managing Director and key corporate functions (such as Law, Finance, Contracting and HR) are based.

An inside story

The successes of AOC B.V. in The Hague are reflected in its increasing importance to Saudi Aramco. Since 2004 AOC B.V. has expanded from a small office in Leiden to become the headquarters in The Hague with a global presence.

AOC B.V. is somewhat akin to an iceberg, where what you see is just a fraction of its entirety. AOC headquarters directs the operations of a further seven offices in Europe and the Asia Pacific regions.

During 2009, AOC B.V. provided critical supply chain and logistics support to Saudi Aramco and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s multi-billion dollar program of mega-projects. This was in addition to managing three Joint Ventures. The needs of over 1,000 Saudi professionals, students and their families – assigned to work and study in the headquarters’ geographical area of responsibility – were also met.
