Quality management

Through the effective implementation of our integrated quality management procedures, AOC ensures that all Saudi Aramco requirements and specifications are fulfilled. Our processes and systems are a cost-effective means to ensure world-class quality for our customers’ capital programs and operating facilities.

AOC Quality Management Division’s vision is to become a globally renowned center of quality excellence delivering value-added services to Saudi Aramco. This goal can be accomplished by partnering with manufacturers, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors, and inspection agencies to maintain the required standards and, where necessary, to improve their performance.

Our aim is to work with our suppliers to manufacture products that meet the world-class standards and international codes that Saudi Aramco demands.

Furthermore, AOC provides quality consultancy and services in the areas of inspection technology, development of Saudi Arabian content, strategic sourcing, best practices and networking with oil and gas industries to support Saudi Aramco.

Our Quality Management services include:

  • Quality assurance – A plant evaluation performed on manufacturing plants supplying inspectable materials to Saudi Aramco. This ensures that manufacturers comply with Saudi Aramco’s technical requirements, and verifies that they apply adequate and effective quality systems.
  • Quality monitoring – A service ensuring compliance to the company specifications and purchase order conditions of the materials procured by EPC contractors and our joint ventures. This involves monitoring inspection at the manufacturers’ facilities, review of material test certificates and evaluation of contractor quality personnel performance.
  • Quality control – A service ensuring compliance to the company specifications and purchase order conditions for materials procured directly by Saudi Aramco or its affiliates. This is achieved by performing physical inspection at the manufacturers’ facilities and reviewing material test certificates to assure that the quality of procured materials meets Saudi Aramco requirements.

We are committed to ensuring the best results for Saudi Aramco; non-conforming products are handled through our equipment deficiency reports system or rejection notes. These act as a feedback loop to all stakeholders of the procurement process to enhance their procedures. Ultimately, this leads to safe, high-quality, reliable and sustainable operating facilities in Saudi Arabia.
